So here’s the story about Tuesday’s strip. We did a joke about how Worf was raised by an Italian couple on Earth and wouldn’t it be funny if he had some really bad italian stereotypes to go with it. Really it was just a vehicle to draw Worf, his family and Worf in a Super Mario Outfit. Hilarity.
Well we botched our research, or in this case did no research, and quickly realized that we had blundered. (Thank you person on Reddit) Worf’s family is more Russian/Eastern European, and not Italian. So we pulled the strip immediately, cause dang it, the last thing we want to be wrong about is Star Trek. One because we love the show to much to let a screw up like that go, and two, Star Trek fans can get scary if you don’t get it right.
In any case we still had the Worf drawing and its so hard to let a good Worf go to waste.
No one (that we know of anyway) seemed to be offended. So lesson learned; we do more research, even if its something we think we know.
